Kindergarten is an exciting, yet overwhelming, time for many kids. For some, it is the first school experience they will have. Others are simply intimidated by the number of students and hours of work kindergarten entails. In order to best prepare your child for the exciting world of elementary school, you can use kindergarten games for kids that reinforce the important skills he will use throughout the year. While school is meant to teach children new concepts, there is a basic understanding most students come to school with pre-existing knowledge of the basics. Giving your child this base will help him succeed.

These books are really good, especially if you have the book as a colouring book that you can fill out together. Heres a good activity: say the sound like "b says...buh buh, ball" and then students race to colour in their balls in their workbook. You can hang these up after and everyone will have fun. Find the mistake: These activities are terrible for young kids. An example might be, cross out the word that doesnt begin with the right letter, or correct the misspelled word. I know, seems like common sense, but Ive seen some teachers try to teach young children using these kind of word sheets which are just ridiculously confusing for young learners.

In this case, the bingo cards are printed with words, most often sight words (these are common words that kids must learn to recognize as they can not easily be sounded out - teachers have lists of these, such as the Dolch sight word list). Phonemic Awareness Bingo - This version of bingo may be too hard for the youngest children, but is a logical next step after sight word bingo. Some kids will benefit in the long run from the additional academic rigor, while other kids lack the maturity to stay engaged for the entire day and will be frustrated by it. The best solution is to have both options available, with the choice ultimately being left to the parent(s).

Economic pressures might mean that you cannot afford a very expensive kindergarten graduation gift but be aware that it is mostly the thought is what counts in these circumstances rather that the belief that you are giving the best that you can. If your child has been well brought up they will be able to understand that things are not as good as you would like them to be and they will accept your kindergarten graduation gift in good faith. You can put the candles on the cake and that too of different design. There are candles available in the stores of beautiful colors and sparkles. These candles are of symbols of light and bright future, quite appropriate for the occasion.
