Children enjoy using pencils, charcoal, pastels and chalk. Using these encourages them to vary the intensity or depth of colors. Markers have a place but they are not my first choice. Two of my favorites are charcoal on white card stock paper (so that it can withstand the intensity of the interaction and not tear) and finger paint. Worthy of note here is use of paint smocks for either activity. If your preschooler has to stop and worry about getting dirty or messy, it interferes with the discovery process. Charcoal and Pastel Drawings Lets start with charcoal. Set your kids up with large sheets of white cardstock. I have even bought poster board and cut it in sections so that everyone has canvas to work on. Give your kids charcoal pieces and encourage them to draw whatever they want. Show them that they can use their fingers and hands to smudge the designs, thus creating different effects. They can even put a handprint on it. Ask them to discover what happens when they use different pressure or use an entire side of the charcoal rather than the tip.
Early training is easier and faster To illustrate, if you shape clay while it is still soft, it will be easier and flexible, similarly the childs young brain is easy to mold. We can start training them while they are still inside the mothers womb. And when the child is born his brain is ready to learn. Child fast development takes place during the first year after his birth. He starts to recognize movements, sounds, shapes, colors, and even counts. So if you develop your child earlier the result will be better. kindergarten will be too late Shape your child the way you want If you want your child to be a good speaker, you must always read and speak to him. If you want him to be a musician or a simply a music lover, sing to him or let him listen to music. Hugs and touches together with words of "I love you" can make him a loving person. The more new things he will be exposed to, the more he will learn. Developing other skills require variety of different stimuli. Though your child may not necessarily be a genius but pre-schooling him means preparing his mind and equipping him with the tools he needed when he goes to school.
If education is your goal, you may want a set of worksheets designed to teach your child all of the basic skills they will need for school. 2. To Pay or Not to Pay? There are hundreds if not thousands of free printable worksheets available online. These are ideal for filling time or keeping the kids busy on a rainy day, but few of them offer a systematic set of worksheets with activities designed to teach your children a specific set of skills. If education is your aim, you may have to spend a little to get useful, comprehensive worksheets that actually help your child to learn. 3. Quality vs Quantity Some free worksheets are not good quality - the pictures are fuzzy, backgrounds print grey or speckled - and children tend to notice these things. If you are using the worksheets to educate your child, you may want to choose good quality worksheets that encourage your child to produce good quality work. After all, its a little difficult to ask your child to color within the lines and work neatly when the worksheet they are filling in hasnt done the same.
Math concepts can also be reinforced for the children throughout the day on a regular basis. Try placing an enlarged number 12 above the 12 on the clock and label it "lunch time". Label your clock with as many of these types of labels that you can. This will help the children to recognize the way the clock looks when it is on the hour. Make sure to point out the clock when it is time for lunch by saying, "Look at the clock, it is time for lunch. See the little hand is on the 12". You can also incorporate math through songs. If you are learning about monkeys, make it a point to sing, "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed". The same concept can also be used when you are reading books to preschoolers. There are plenty of books that incorporate counting into their story and will follow the theme you are teaching. Math is a concept that children will have to use for the rest of their lives and that will be continuously taught in school. By starting off their education with fun math activities, you can get them started with math the right way.
A comprehensive set of worksheets covering a variety of subjects can be used to expand your childs learning experience. A worksheet about shapes can be used as part of a game to find shapes around the house, counting worksheets can be used to count things you see in the grocery store and so on. Almost everything you do with your child can be turned into an opportunity to learn - and worksheets can give you the guidance you need to find those opportunities. Worksheets that include topics such as social and natural science will help to expand your childs horizons, teaching them about their environment and how things work, while improving their vocabulary at the same time. A worksheet about farm animals can initiate a visit to the farm area at the zoo, or to a real farm, where your child can explore and learn even more.
Benefit-6 - Specially-designed age appropriate graded level worksheets give kids the opportunity to reinforce the application of knowledge they gained in their classrooms. Benefit-7 - Worksheets for kids suit all age groups, as these can be upgraded easily they are suitable for different capabilities and applications of each individual child depending on their learning needs. Therefore, starting early with nursery worksheets can strengthen the foundation of knowledge for kids from 3 years to 7 years.
